Hello! My name is Olesya Rubeko, and I am a contemporary artist working with various media including painting, graphics, and artistic and portrait photography.

The conceptual decisions in my works are based on creating metaphorical spaces and stories that I strive to convey through a sensual, visual language. I enjoy using images and metaphors to help reveal the human being and the world surrounding them, their mutual influence and reflection on each other.
In some series of works, the central place is occupied (involuntarily, but primarily) by the female image - the one closest and most understandable to me as an artist. The fragile and yet strong heroines in the works are often depersonalized, with their thoughts and feelings expressed through the overall composition, the background, color palettes, and lighting.
I work with themes of beauty in the everyday, memory, and fantasies, as well as the sincerity of the individual in contemporary reality.
